Once in a while, a surprise arrives in the mail along with the ads and bills and propaganda. This one warmed my heart and made me smile:
The girl who drew this card, Lauren, is a member of my sister and brother-in-law’s church in Idaho. She gave it to them, and they mailed it to me. Inside she says,
“I’m really enjoying ‘Three-in-One: the Mysterious Friendship of Derry and Benny.’
Please tell Debra that she’s a great author.”

Written for 9-12 year olds, though younger and older kids are reading it too.
